Dr. Robert Colon
Head of Department of Graduate Studies in Education
Associate Professor of Educational Administration
The 2009-2010 school year marks my 43rd. year in the education profession, the last 19 here at Purdue Calumet. During this time span, my experience has included teaching social studies in secondary schools, being a building principal in secondary schools, administering programs in a regional educational service center, and, here at PUC, serving as Head of our graduate department and teaching/advising/administering in our educational administration degree/license program. My particular interests are in administration foundations, school law, supervision of instruction, school leadership and reform, and collective bargaining. I am a co-creator, and a steering committee member, of our Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) program. Our mission at the center is to serve Indiana's school leaders and help them create the highest quality learning environments possible. I am happy to communicate with anyone who has similar research interests or anyone interested in our Master of Science/license in Educational Administration. You may contact me at rcolon@purdue.edu. For more information on our degree/license program, please email, and feel free to browse our CEL website at http://cel.calumet.purdue.edu.
