I have been a faculty member at Purdue University Calumet since 1998. Before being hired full-time at Purdue Calumet, I was a guest lecturer and visiting instructor in the Behavioral Sciences department. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a minor in Health Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Chicago in 1998. I also hold a Master's degree in Special Education from Ball State University and taught special education in the public schools for 9 years. Previous to teaching in the Counseling and Development Program, I taught undergraduate courses in educational psychology, special education, and multicultural education. My current primary teaching responsibilities include Counseling Diverse Populations, Counseling and Psychopathology, Theories and Techniques, Program Organization and Administration for School Counseling and the Health Psychology seminar.
