Adding Multimedia
Adding multimedia elements, such as graphics or animated text, is simple with FrontPage.
To insert a graphic:
1. Click the Insert menu, drag down to Picture, and select the type of picture you wish to add. You may use images from the Microsoft clip art gallery, image files of your own, WordArt, Flash animations (.swf files), AutoShapes, or videos (see Clipart for more information).
2. Newer versions of FrontPage will display a searchable Clip Art gallery to the right of your screen if it is selected. Images may be clicked or dragged from the gallery window and placed into your document.

4. Note that when you save a document with images in it, FrontPage will ask if you wish to have these items saved into your web site. You must save all embedded files into your web site, otherwise they will be lost upon publication! Images, movies, and all elements that are not text or tables DO NOT become part of your web pages -- therefore, to help you remember this, FrontPage will help you keep these files in order.

To insert animated text:
1. FrontPage contains a simple tool for creating animation effects on text and graphics similar to the effects used in PowerPoint. This is called DHTML Effects, and the toolbar is accessible from the View menu.

2. Drag over and highlight any text on your page. On the DHTML Effects toolbar, you can select when the animation will happen (when the text loads, when it is clicked, and so forth), what the animation will be, and in what direction it will move (if available). Experiment and have fun!

3. When you have completed your effect, it will be available when you open your page in any web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari, etc.).
